Fifty american students, in Plentzia

They are members of USAC and saw the festival on Friday

09/14/2011: Last Friday, fifty American students came to Plentzia Jai Alai to see the cesta punta festival corresponding to the Liga Zesta Punta Profesional, which is being organized by Bilbao Jai Alai.

All of them were members of USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium), which is a consortium of universities of the United States with head office in Reno (Nevada). The University of this city has an agreement with the University of the Basque country, with which organizes exchanges with foreign students, not only with Americans, but also with Japanese, Swedish and Korean, among other nationalities.

During the festival, young people, as well as enjoy cesta punta, had the opportunity to go into the court to learn how to throw the ball and then they took photogras with the puntistas who are playing in the LZPP.

Following the success of this initiative, Bilbao Jai Alai is already planning another activity with American students, who will come to the Basque country at the end of the month of October. Then, they also have the opportunity to enjoy the most international speciality of Pelota Vasca.
